Vatican City

I want to introduce about Vatican City

It is located inside Rome. It is the smallest country in the world.
It has an area of approximately 44 hectares (110 acres), and a population of just over 800. This makes Vatican City the smallest independent state in the world .

Why is it located inside Rome?

For a long time there has been Papal States in a large portion of what is now the Italy. En 1870, the States were invaded and the Pope had to take refuge in the Vatican palace.

Rome became the capital of the newly founded Italy. The Pope stayed in the Vatican, which became an autonomous state 60 years later in 1929.

To sum up, the Vatican state is in Rome because the Vatican palace was in Rome when Papal States were invaded. It is all that remains of these former Papal States.

How did Rome get started!!

I want to talk about myth about how Rome get started.

The twin brothers Romulus and Remus were the sons of the God Mars. When they were very young, they were abandoned by the banks of the River Tiber and left to fend for themselves. Luckily for them they were found by a she-wolf who took pity on them fed them with her milk.

Later a shepherd found the boys and took them home to look after them. He ended up raising the boys as his own children. The boys grew up to be very strong and clever and they decided to build a town on the spot where the Shepherd had found them.

Shortly after building the town the twins had a big argument about who should be in charge. Romulus overpowered his brother Remus who died in the fight. Romulus then became the first king of this town which he named Rome, after himself.

That’s how Rome started.

Poem2

Seasons

Spring falls on me at last
as the cherry blossom is hopping and humming
Flower of love comes into bloom
Spring stands for meeting

Summer is almost here
Heat wave comes there
Your eyes are as clear as the shining sky
Summer warms us up n every way

Fall appears unexpectedly
As autumn leaves wither
Your love also fades away
Fall reminds me of you

Winter ushered in by the first snowfall
Chilly, Empty, Lonely
Our minds go blank
Winter says farewell

Precious Friend

Ken is eighteen years old and goes to a public school. He has black

hair and a sharp nose but he looks older than his age. He likes sports, so he

often plays soccer or baseball with his friends after school. Now, he is at the

third-year. Therefore, he has to study hard for the entrance exam for

university although he does not like studying. His mother, who is around

fifty and is very strict with him, actually wants him to go to a good

university, but he does not think so. One day, his mother scolded him because

he got a bad score on the test. He was deeply disappointed. He hated to study

and tried to throw his pencil box away. Then someone cried “Do not throw

me away”. First he did not know what happened. When he tried to do so

again, someone shouted “Look at me, Look at me”. The moment he carefully

looked at his pencil box, he was surprised to see his eraser talking to him.

Even though he doubtfully stared at his eraser, it started to introduce itself

Hi! I am a pretty girl. I can speak, so I want to chat with you”. Her words

made him confused. She wore plastic clothes, and her body was shiny white

like snow because her owner, Ken, hardly studied. Then she suddenly asked

him “Why did you try to throw me away”. He replied with an upset tone

Because I could not get a good score in test, so I do not want to study any

more”. She kindly encouraged him “You can do it. Why do not we study

together”. Her words made him make up his mind to try to study hard. From

that day he met her, he started to study with her every day. Her job was to

erase something and she likes to do so, so she gently told him the answer

whenever he made a mistake. That was why he could enjoy studying with

her.

Two months later, he realized that she was getting weak, or she was

shrinking. He asked her “Are you getting smaller and smaller?” She said

Exactly, I am becoming thinner, but I do not feel sad because that shows you

have been studying hard for two months. You will be able to get a good score,

in entrance exam if you continue to study as you are now”. He felt happy and

sad at the same time when he listened to her. He said with a sad look “I want

to be with you for good”. In a little time, she slowly replied “I cannot do so

because I am an eraser. I have to live as an eraser, not as your friend”.

They kept silent for a while.

Then one day, they studied together as usual, and he talked to her but

she did not say anything. He looked at her, and then he found her almost

dead. He was in a panic, and he exclaimed “What is going on?”. She

whispered in his ear “You have studied hard, so you will pass the entrance

exam. I wish your efforts pay off”, and then she passed away. He could not

believe that, and then he broke into a flood of tears. They got along well as if

they were siblings. Afterwards, he could pass in the entrance exam. Now, he

is grateful to her from the bottom of his heart. Sometimes, he brings back to

precious memories of her, an eraser. She is gone already; however, this much

can be said that their friendship and memory are never to be erased.

POETIC DEVICES

I want to talk about "Poetic Devices".

First, Poem is a piece of writing in which the words are chosen for their sound and the images they suggest, not just for their obvious meanings.

"Poetic Devices"
Alliterations : the use of the same letter or sound at the beginning of words.

Repetition : repeat same words or sentence.
Personalification : give human animal characteristics to objects.

Poem has many devices which can make poem interesting or creative.
If you know these devices, you can make creative poem.
